  • Eligibility for Refund

    Deposits are refunded to the depositor if the defendant has successfully complied with all conditions of the bond and the criminal case is disposed. The refund order is prepared and signed by the Judge, then forwarded to County Clerk's Office.

    Refund Requirements
    You must show to the court your:
    • Current Driver's license or identification card
    • The receipt received from the jail
    • The actual bond the defendant received from the jail
    Picking Up the Refund
    When these items are presented, a check will be made to the depositor whom paid the cash bond and that person is required to pick it up at:

    A check may be presented to the depositor in court after disposition of the case along with a copy of their Current Driver License or identification card. 

    Change of Address
    Any change of address should be completed prior to the disposition of the criminal case by filling out a Change of Address Form (PDF).

THE COUNTY COURT CLERK HAS NO DUTY TO SEARCH RECORDS. UNLESS THE CUSTOMER KNOWS A SPECIFIC CAUSE NUMBER, THEY WILL NEED TO GO TO TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY WEBSITE TO SEARCH CRIMINAL RECORDS https://publicsite.dps.texas.gov/convictionnamesearch/
